I want to reintroduce you to Eliza and Bill. I took their engagement pictures back in the spring here and here. I first met them over a cup of coffee at one of my favorite places in Sacramento, Tower Cafe. They shared with me how they met and how lucky they felt to have finally found each other.
I feel very fortunate to work with brides like Eliza who have such an appreciation for the smaller details. She embodies such elegance and simplicity, her wedding truly reflects her style. I love her polka dot wedding dress along with all its accessories. Little touches here and there say so much about how much she values thing of the past, while effortlessly she adds her own modern flair.
Eliza & Bill, I’m so happy to have shared this beautiful day with and continue to know the two of you. Congratulations!

Meet Myra and Ander. I did this wedding in the heart of San Francisco at the gorgeous Fairmont Hotel and St. Mark’s Cathedral. I must confess that when I arrived at their wedding I was completely blown away by the splendor of it. This caught me completely by surprise because I simply did not expect it after my meeting with her and Ander plus the numerous times I spent talking to her on the phone.
During our meetings the most important thing to Myra was her family and friends. She was so touched they came all the way from Indonesia and various parts of the country that she really wanted to honor them. She focused so much on talking about her love for her family and friends that she completely neglected to tell me about the attention that went into the details and design of the wedding.
So you could imagine my surprised when I arrived at the very top of the Fairmont and saw her breathtaking room. I was practically jumping up and down shamelessly when I saw her one-of-a-kind designer dress that was hand stitched with jewels, her Roberto Cavalli shoes, and her amazing enormous bouquet that must have been heavier than my daughter. Everything at the wedding was eye candy. But still the most beautiful thing about the wedding was the bride and groom who though was surrounded by so much extravagance cared a world more about each other and the people who attended their wedding.

Carlos found Jackie all the way from California to Florida. I love their love story because it proves that nothing is impossible. They first met online. But it didn’t take long for Carlos to find himself all the way in Florida to meet her. When they did, he completely swept her off her feet by giving her all the love that she deserves. He knew that she had spent most of her life giving herself completely to her children and she finally deserves someone to take care of her.
I’ve really enjoyed getting to know this lovely couple. They are wonderful, fun, and kind. I was very touched that as I left their reception, they both came to see my assistant and I off with 2 pieces of wedding cake. What big hearts! But what shocked me most (and I’m sure you as well) is that they both have children in their 20′s. When my children are in their 20′s…I want to look like THEM!!!!!
A sneak peak into Carlos and Jackie’s wedding this weekend.

I took Joanny & Michael’s engagement portraits back in April. There’s nothing better than bride and grooms who are game for anything. And these two lovely people have trusted me from beginning to end and I am so grateful for them. Thanks guys for indulging me with the carousel and teacups. And also humoring me when I made you get inside of a bus and shopping cart for your engagement portraits. I’ve really enjoyed working with you two. Congratulations, I wish you the very very best!

Winnie and Mark got married this weekend. It rocked! It was gorgeous, touching, and meaningful. There was so much beauty in every detail. But what was most beautiful and touching to me was how the wedding was not only a union between the bride and groom. It was apparent that with God as center, they did everything to include little Paige in their big day. They kept telling her “We’re a family!”
The first image below made my heart leap out of my chest the first time I saw it outside of my camera. I hope you all love it as much as I do!

It’s been a really crazy week for me so I’m really behind on my blog. I will probably overload you with stuff next week when things slow down for me a tiny bit. I’m shooting a wedding for my dear friend Winnie tomorrow, and I’m super excited. I want to share my excitement by posting a little preview even before the wedding. I took this today during their rehearsal. Batteries charging, camera ready!!!

I just can’t get enough of this wedding…so here’s some more!

What a sweet sweet couple and a memorable wedding! It was a blast shooting a wedding amongst so many people I know. Stay tuned for more!
